The Originality.ai MCP Server lets AI assistants such as ChatGPT and Claude check text for likely AI-generated content directly from a conversation.

Once connected, you can paste text into a chat, choose an AI allowance or use our multi language model for non-English text, and receive an Originality.ai result without switching applications. Results include the classification, confidence, AI and human scores, and a link to the complete scan in Originality.ai.

What is an MCP Server?

MCP stands for Model Context Protocol. It is an open standard that allows AI applications to connect to external services and tools.

In simple terms:

You → your AI assistant → Originality.ai MCP Server → Originality.ai

The AI assistant decides when an Originality.ai tool is useful, sends an authorized request to the MCP server, and uses the result in your conversation.You remain signed in as yourself. Access is limited to your Originality.ai account and the permissions you approve. Scan availability and credit usage depend on your account.
